In this work, mesoporous carbons (CMK-3) were prepared by conventional templating method using SBA-15 as using catalyst support in PEMFCs. The CMK-3 were chemically activated to obtain a high surface area and large pore volume by chemical activation using KOH as an activating agent. And then Pt-Ru was deposited onto activated CMK-3 (A-CMK-3) by chemical reduction method. From the results, the resulting A-CMK-3 showed that the specific surface areas and pore volumes were increased with increasing of the KOH concentration. In addition, the A-CMK-3 combined with the ordered mesoporosity had an affirmative influence on the uniform metal dispersion, leading to the enhanced electro-catalytic properties. |
