Kesterite Cu2ZnSn(Sx,Se1−x)4 (CZTSSe) compounds are favorable absorber materials for future industrial photovoltaic development, because of constituent elements availability at low cost and eco-friendly benignity. Indium tin oxide (ITO), fluorine-doped tin oxide (FTO), and Al-doped zinc oxide (AZO) are considered as potential Transparent Conducting Oxide back contacts in CZTSSe thin film solar cells. The CZTSSe thin film solar cells have been prepared by post-sulfo-selenizing the Cu-Sn-Zn metallic precursor deposited by magnetron sputtering technique. The effect of the rapid thermal annealing time and temperature on the stability of back contact is studied and the impact of back contact stability on the photovoltaic parameters are explored. Experimental proof, including X-Ray Diffraction, X-Ray Fluorescence, Raman spectroscopy, electron microscopies, Quantum efficiency measurement, and J-V characteristics are presented for the study of CZTSSe absorber and stability of back contact. Finally, a solar cell device prepared on FTO back contact shows an efficiency (η) of η = 5.2% in front side illumination. |
