To overcomedisadvantages of conventional electrospinning such as low production rate and limitedfunctionality, needleless electrospinning has been studied so far. In thisstudy, syringeless electrospinning, one of the needleless electrospinningmethods, is proposed for mass production rate and introduction of functionalitiesusing colloidal electrospinning. Several probes are attached helically on therotating drum, and polymeric solution in which nanofillers are dispersed islocated under the drum. Nonwoven nanofiber webs are prepared in variouscombinations of polymers (Polyacrylonitrile (PAN), Thermoplastic Polyurethane(TPU), Polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP)) and inorganic fillers (TiO2, ZrO2,silica particle and metal- organic framework (MOF)). The amount of filler canbe increased as 2 times than polymer weight in polymer solution, and nonwoven nanofiberwebs are prepared maintaining the flexibility. |
