Mechanical Properties of Organic-Inorganic Hybrid Material Based on Polyurethane |

Organic-inorganic hybrid materials have excellent performance because of combine the characteristics of high elasticity and flexibility of the organic phase with the high thermal stability and high mechanical properties of the inorganic phase. Generally, Polyurethane (PU) is one of the most popular because of its elasticity, chemical resistance and flexibility. On the other hand. Organic-inorganic hybrid materials based on polyurethane show following improved advantage: thermal stability and mechanical properties. In view of these considerations, we synthesized PU by polycarbonyl diol (PCD), hexamethylene diisocyanate (IPDI) and monodicarbinol terminated polydimethylsiloxane. As the siloxane content increased, and hardness of the PU increase. The mechanical properties of PU was investigated thermomechanical analysis (TMA) and rheometer. |
