Electrical Properties of Multilayered Ultra-thin Polymer Film Doped with Metal Nanoparticles |

The multilayer assembly method offers diverse opportunities to prepare polymeric/metallic thin film based electronic devices. The nanoparticle doped ultra-thin polymer film was sandwiched between the two ferroelectric P(VDF-TrFE) layers to form metal-ferroelectric-polymer/nanoparticle-ferroelectric-metal (MFPNFM) architecture. The electrical properties of MFPNFM were compared to those of other electronic device architectures (metal-ferroelectric-metal (MFM) and metal-ferroelectric-polymer-ferroelectric-metal (MFPFM)). UV-Visible spectroscopy, FTIR spectroscopy, P-E, and C-V measurements were utilized to study the formation of nanoparticle, remnant polarization, dipole switching, non-volatile memory characteristics. This work will offer new opportunities to prepare nanostructured-multilayer based memory devices with tailored performance.
