In this study, we grow the crystalline hexagonal column morphology using an organic small molecule (OSM) and demonstrate application. Most of the OSM have either optical or electrical properties. Pristine OSM nanoparticles (NPs) were prepared using a conventional reprecipitation method. The structural and formation properties of the crystalline and non-crystalline OSM NPs were analyzed with scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and X-ray diffraction (XRD). The nanoscale photoluminescence (PL) characteristic and the fluorescence color of the OSM single NP and their crystal microwires (MWs) were acquired using a high-resolution laser confocal microscope (LCM) and measured from color charge-coupled device (CCD) images, respectively. We obtained I-V curve during under UV irradiation and dark. These two kinds of condition are distinguishable each other by difference of intensity. Finally, we applied OSM crystals to UV photodetector with a polymer composite. |
