제목 Bio-Inspired 3D Architectures for Adhesion and Versatile Applications
초록 The efforts to learn and take inspiration from nature have proven successful in a wide range of areas such as epidermal electronics, dry adhesion, optical systems and biomimetic materials. We investigated an artificial, biologically inspired, reversible wet/dry adhesion system that is based on the dome-like protuberances and extruded architectures found in the suction cups of octopi. This octopus-inspired systems exhibit strong, reversible, highly repeatable adhesion to silicon wafers, glass, and rough skin surfaces under various conditions (dry, moist, under water and under oil). In addition, we developed smart adhesion systems and integrated wearable electronics having excellent performances. For realizing smart healthcare and medical devices, some applications will be introduced, including E-skin, bandage-like sensors, clean transfer/fixation devices, and drug-loadable less-irritating skin-patches.
