제목 Homogeneous Co(I)(CN)54- and Ni(I)(CN)54- in highly alkaline medium using divided cathodic electrolytic cell and their application in TCE reduction
초록 A mediated electrocatalytic reduction (MER) that is operated through a divided cathodic electrolytic cell is emerging field towards environmental chlorinated volatile organic compounds (CVOCs) removal process. The present investigation focuses on reduction of trichloro ethylene using electrochemically generated two different  homogeneous mediators Co(I)(CN)54- and Ni(I)(CN)54-. At first, current density, temperature, and the anodic/cathode part was fixed by keeping Pt and Ag as anode and cathode, respectively. The initial concentration of the both Co(II)(CN)53- and Ni(II)(CN)53- fixed 0.01 M in 10 M KOH constant. The reduction of Co(II)(CN)53- and Ni(II)(CN)53- confirmed via ORP electrode. The reduction efficiencies were calculated using titration with KMnO4. CV results supports the mediated reduction of TCE via Co(I)(CN)54-and Ni(I)(CN)54-. The GC analaysis showed product that fromed in the reduction process contains no chlorine confirms the valididty of the method.
