제목 Kinetic study for the reduction and oxidation of Fe2O3/ZrO2 in the Chemical-looping process for hydrogen production
초록 The three-reactor chemical looping process(TRCL) has been suggested as a process for capture of CO2 from fuel gas and effective hydrogen production. The TRCL process contains the three of reactors those are a fuel reactor, a steam reactor, and an air reactor. In the fuel reactor, oxygen carrier is reduced by syngas or nature gas. The reduced oxygen carrier is oxidized by steam in the steam reactor and hydrogen is produced at the same time. After the step, the oxygen carrier is completely oxidation by O2 in the air reactor. We studied the kinetics for reduction and oxidation of Fe2O3 with CH4, H2O, and O2. The experiments were conducted in a thermogravimetric analyzer (TGA). In the study, kinetics model is proposed and activation energy is obtained from fitting the TGA data. The state of each step of oxygen carrier is observed by using XRD and SEM.
