제목 | Electrically Conductive Metal Ion-Polymer Complex Assembled at the Oil/Water Interface |
초록 | A soft material with high electrical conductivity is a key element required for flexible electric devices. However, realizing these characteristics is challenging since the softness often arises from the thermal mobility of organic materials and the electrical conductivity originates from the tight metallic bonds. Pre-existing strategies, such as conductive polymers, metal nanoparticles, and liquid metals require process-dependent chemical doping, or possess poor deformation recovery. Herein, we report a metal ion-polymer complex with high electrical conductivity in a two-dimensional space by concentrating metal ions along the interface (preliminary test result: ~105 S/cm). To overcome the high coulombic repulsion between the closely packed metal ions, polymers with anionic ligand at the chain end were introduced which are capable of coordination bonding with the metal ions. At the interface, a stratified complex composed of a metal ion layer and a polymer layer formulates spontaneously within a few seconds even at low active material concentrations, and exhibits excellent deformation recovery. keyword: electrical conductivity, interfacial assembly, soft material |
