Preparation, Characterization and Catalytic Activity of MCM-41 containing Different Transition Metal Ions |

Mesoporous MCM-41 containing different metal ions were synthesized using cetyltrimetylammonium bromide as templates under template-ion-exchange (TIE) method. The MCM-41 materials have been characterized by several instrumental techniques. The materials were used for oxidation of ethylbenzene. The selectivity of alpha-phenylethanol is higher in Mn-MCM-41 than that of other metal ions containing MCM-41. Thus, the details of materials characterization and catalytic results will be presented. |
