The study contributed to synthesis magnetic carbon nano-spheres (MCNs) as absorbents. The research was synthesized MCNs through three different routes. MCNs was synthesized through iron-polydopamine (Fe-PDA) complex and was activated carbon by KOH. The second route was synthesized MCNs by the iron compound and carbon nano-spheres (CNS). The final route was used two-steps synthetic. The first step was a synthesis of iron oxide (Fe3O4) and the second step was coating polydopamine (PDA). The physical and chemical properties of MCNs were assessed by zeta potential, dynamic light scattering (DLS), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and X-ray diffraction (XRD). The residual concentration of dyes and heavy metals was determined by Ultra iolet-Visible Spectroscopy (UV-Vis spectroscopy) and inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectroscopy (ICP-OES), respectively. |
