In this report, ethylenediamine-β-cyclodextrin as a receptor of specific guest molecules was successfully absorbed on the surface of Ag NP-assembled silica substrate (SiO2@Ag@EN-β-CD NP), which has abundant nanojunction so that represent strong SERS-active properties. Several flavonoids including quercetin, naringenin, hesperetin, naringenin and luteolin was simply captured on the substrate via mixing and their SERS spectra were collected. For the detection of luteolin, the proposed substrate exhibits intrinsic SERS signal of luteolin with the linear range from 10-7 to 10-3 M. Within the range, the SERS signal of luteolin was much more intense than various organic molecules such as ethylene glycol, β-estradiol, isopropyl alcohol, etc. From these results, the proposed SERS substrate can be utilized as an intrinsic SERS sensor of flavonoids molecules. |
