The remaining key for success of polymer electronics is to precisely pattern/stack polymer semiconductors. The precise patterning and stacking of various polymer semiconductors can be realized with the assistance of molecular oxidizing and reducing agents for donor and acceptor semiconductors, respectively. To pattern/stack various polymer semiconductors, there are two important strategies: doping method for desolubilizing polymer semiconductors and dedoping method for recovering the genuine characteristics of each polymer semiconductor. Based on this systematic approach of doping-dedoping interplay, various all-polymer optoelectronic devices are demonstrated with high-performances: 1) complementary inverter with high gain of 176, 2) planar heterojunction photodiode with high detectivity over 1012 Jones, and 3) ambipolar transistor with balanced hole and electron mobilities. |
