제목 Application of Dispersion Analysis For Safe EO Disposal to Atmosphere
초록 Major EOEG Technology Licensors such as SD and Shell have adopted EO vapor disposal by venting directly to atmosphere due to explosion hazard in closed disposal system like flaring. However, as growing interest in environmental concerns and enhanced safety in plant operation, it is required for engineering contractors to ensure the safe location of given individual local vents to minimize inadvertent ignition of the flammable mixtures and to avoid personnel exposure to EO for safe workplaces, especially even at adjacent elevated structures. The study introduces the project example to perform dispersion modeling using DNV Phast v6.7 based on credible scenarios to demonstrate safe location of atmospheric EO release and to determine additional safeguards to mitigate EO exposure to personnel in risk based approach.
