Cancer immunotherapy has recently been considered as a promising cancer treatment strategy by activating the immune system. Although various cancer treatment strategies are advancing, there are limitations to achieving successful therapeutic effects due to tumor heterogeneity and immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment. Here, we proposed novel combinational cancer immunotherapy with electrical ablation and immune adjuvant for effective anti-cancer immune responses. Optimal electrical conditions were established to induce immunogenic cell death through in vitro experiments. Furthermore, in the in vivo tumor model, the combination immunotherapy showed a significant anti-tumor effect. Taken all together, we believe that the combinational cancer treatment based on electrical ablation with immune adjuvant has excellent cancer immunotherapy potential. |
