3D-Printed Flexible and Stretchable Li-ion Batteries for Pliable Optoelectronic Devices |

A strong interest is growing towards the development of flexible Li-ion batteries for powering futuristic technological applications such as optoelectronic devices. In spite of multiple advantages of the conventional Li-ion batteries, a major challenge has been required to develop the Li-ion batteries of various architectures suitable for integrating with flexible optoelectronic devices. In this work, we have adopted a highly efficient 3D-printing method to develop flexible battery that can be mounted on the optoelectronic devices. The respective electrode inks are formulated with NCA and Graphite as active materials along with a conductive material and a binder, and the physiochemical and the electrochemical performance of the printed electrodes have been studied. This new technology will provide a feasible fabrication route for the incorporation of flexible batteries for upcoming flexible optoelectronic devices. |
