According to an IPCC report, excessive use of fossil fuels have increased CO2 in the atmosphere by 100 ppm compared to a century ago. In addition, if indoor ventilation is not performed frequently due to outdoor fine dust, the indoor CO2 concentration such as bedrooms and classrooms could increase to levels that adversely affect the human health. In this study, we have developed using an efficient membrane-based system for the reduction and utilization of indoor CO2. The CO2 reduction capacity and the degree of concentration were investigated for various process parameters of the membrane system. On the other hand, CO2 concentrated on the permeate side was applied to promote plant growth in indoor plat cultivation. Therefore, it is expected that the application of membrane-based systems to various home appliances such as air purifiers will create a pleasant living and working environment. |
