Transition metal hydroxides and oxyhydroxides like NiFe LDH have shown great performance for oxygen evolution reaction (OER) in water splitting. Among various approaches for the synthesis of NiFe LDH catalysts, electrodeposition have advantages of simplicity, low cost, and non-using binder, supporting catalyst formation. We examined and optimized the electrodeposition process with the pulse electrodeposition method, which gives fine control of the structure and morphology of catalysts. OER performance of NiFe LDH in alkaline solution were evaluated with a single-cell reactor and a two-cell BPM-arrayed reactor. |
