제목 Highly sensitive, biocompatible, quantum dot-embedded silica nanoparticles for bio-imaging
초록 The successful development of nanoprobes has allowed nanomaterials to be employed in various bio analysis fields. Cytotoxicity and weak fluorescence signals from single quantum dots (QDs) reduce the efficiency of QDs in biological applications. Herein, we report the preparation of highly bright QD–based nano probes consisting of ca 200 QDs on 120 nm silica nanoparticles (NPs) with silica shells (QD2) and its application in bio-imaging. The merits of brightness and biocompatibility of QD2 will be demonstrated.
