A controlled precipitation of zinc oxide particles by a continuous flow reactor |
초록 |
Zinc oxide (ZnO) is an important basic material for many applications, such as gas sensor, catalysts, and optoelectronic devices because of its excellent chemical and thermal stability. Recently, a lot of studies not only on the formation of ZnO thin films but also on the synthesis of various ZnO nanostructures have been carried out by using a variety of methods. In this study, microsize flower-like ZnO particles and ZnO thin films were synthesized by a continuous flow reactor(CFR) designed by a modification of a chemical bath deposition(CBD). The CBD process involves both homogeneous and heterogeneous reactions. The homogeneous reaction usually contributes to the time variation of the deposition flux and uncontrolled particle formation and agglomeration. However, the homogeneous reaction occurred in the chemical bath solution could be controlled by CFR as a residence time of reactant solution was varied before it was impinged onto a substrate. Two different ZnO structures, flower-like structures and thin films, were synthesized in this study under the same conditions of precursor, concentration and water bath temperature. |
