We synthesized 3,4-Ethylenedioxythiophene (EDOT) derivatives based on 9,9’-spirobifluorene structure and N,N,N’N’-tetraphenylbiphenyl-4,4’-diamine(TPD), triphenylamines(TPA) cross-coupling with stron EDOT derivatives for hole transport material (HTM) in Organic light-emitting device (OLED). OLEDs with configuration of ITO/Spiro structure(or TPD-EDOT, TPA-EDOT)/Alq3/LiF/Al were fabricated. The devices with spiro structures and TPD(or TPA)-EDOT gave lower turn-on voltage (2.1 and 2.7 V), higher brightness (35,210 and 33,740 Cd/m2). Moreover, the devices gave a long operational lifetime due to improved hole injection and better balance between hole and electron. |
