Human mesenchymal stem cells (hMSC) are multipotent stem cell, have been popularly used. Despite hMSCs property, making them useful for a number of potential therapeutic applications, using of hMSC in clinics is still limited. One of the possible approaches to differentiation of hMSCs would be transferring extraneous genes to guide the cells’ differentiation to desired fate. Herein, In this study, we used this genetic modification method, it provided opportunity of controlling the cell types of hMSCs. We took advantage of HA-Dopa/calcium phosphate (CaP) gene delivery systems, has considered of high biocompatibility and good biodegradability and deliver desired genes to hMSCs. Specific HA-binding function of CD44+ expressed on the cell surface of hMSCs, CaP/Dopa-HA nanoparticles showed significantly higher transfection in hMSCs and achieved a desired gene expression, resulting in successful osteogenic differentiation of hMSC. |
