제목 Hydrophobically modified hydrogel microenvironments for integrating with a dermal fibroblast-encapsulating collagen gel
초록 There is increasing evidence that matrix stiffness and permeability modulates various phenotypic activities of cells surrounded by three-dimensional (3D) matrix in native tissue. This study presents an advanced biomaterial design strategy to introduce the hydrophobic microenvironments in a hydrogel for enhancing the quality of a collagen fiber formation. Hydrogels were made poly(ethylene glycol) diacrylate (PEGDA) with poly(propylene glycol) methacrylate (PPGMA) acting as hydrophobic polymer chain. The mass fraction of PPGMA increased to fine tune the dependency between elastic modulus (E) and swelling retio (Q) of the hydrogel and also provide the microenvrionments for integrating a dermal fibroblast-encapsulating collagen gel.
