Solid polymer electrolytes (SPEs) have been attracted widespread interest due to their promising safe electrolytes, requiring high mechanical properties without sacrificing ion conductivity. Herein, we prepare the SPEs with a cross-linkable epoxy resin, silica nanoparticles, and a solvating ionic liquid as an equimolar mixture of Li salt and glyme, by one step thermal curing process. We investigate the effect of silica nanoparticle on ionic conductivity and thermal property of epoxy-based solid polymer electrolytes, using dielectric relaxation spectroscopy and differential scanning calorimeter. Silica nanoparticles can improve the mechanical property without vastly decreasing ionic conductivity of the SPEs. |
