Photosensitizer Controls on Dye-sensitized Solar Cells |

Since Grätzel-type dye-sensitized solar cell (DSSC) was developed in 1991, much attention has been paid to the increasement of solar energy-to-electricity conversion efficiency of DSSC. One of the challenges for improving their conversion efficiency is photosensitizer controls. Nanocrystalline titanium dioxyde is widely used photosensitizer for their well-matching conduction band gap and low cost. Herein, we report on the preparation and characterization of titanium dioxyde nanoparticles in controlling their size and shape. Moreover, we show an optimization of the photosensitizer layer (thickness and morphology) for high performance of DSSC. (Acknowledgement: This work was supported by the RIC program) |
