제목 Improvement of Electro-optic Properties of Reflective Holographic PDLC with Highly Functionalized Urethane Acrylate
초록 The effects of urethane diacrylate structure on reflective holographic polymer dispersed liquid crylstal(HPDLC) have been reported. In that studies, we obtained high reflection efficiency and low grating shrinkage by modifying the molecular structure and found that the structure of prepolymer and LC/prepolymer interaction played an important role in the performance and characteristics of reflective HPDLCs.
In this experiments, we used highly functionalized urethane acrylate oligomer which were synthesized by increasing functionality of polyol and hydroxy acrylate to improve reflection efficiency. We found that the shrinkage of polymer matrix could be controlled with molecular structure (long chain soft segment and rigid hard segment). The morphologies of these gratings were measured by transmission electron scanning(TEM) and electro-optic properties were obtained with UV-visible spectroscopy.
