제목 Intracellular delivery of various types of proteins using pore expanded silica nanoparticle
초록 Proteins play essential roles in the living system. In this regard, direct intracellular delivery of proteins inside cells holds immense potentials providing a clear and decisive result. Therefore a lot of efforts have been invested to develop the efficient and non-toxic protein delivery vehicle by utilizing liposome, polymeric micelles, and nanomaterials. To date, however, the efficiency of these materials for the delivery of proteins was generally low and depends on types of proteins. Here, we report an intracellular protein delivery system using mesoporous silica nanoparticles possessing large pores. The synthesis, characterization, and performance are discussed to prove the feasibility of the newly designed system. It is demonstrated that our system can serve as a safe and efficient delivery tool for the various kinds of proteins.
