Recently, biosensor used for the diagnosis of particular disease has received a great attention. To design a biosensor, synthesis of biocompatible polymeric substance as a template becomes very important subject. We have synthesized poly(PEG methacrylate -co- p-formylphenyl methacrylate -co- methyl methacrylate) as a matrix for DNA detecting via radical copolymerization of poly(ethylene glycol) methyl ether methacrylate, 4-formylphenyl methacrylate and methyl methacrylate using AIBN as an initiator. Random copolymers were used to prepare the polymeric self-assembled monolayers(pSAMs) consisting of two functional parts; the PEG group for reducing the nonspecific binding of DNA and the aldehyde group for interaction with amine slide and amine-terminated probe DNA. Targeted DNA having fluorescent group were hybridized to the probe DNA. The results were confirmed by measuring fluorescence intensity of the target DNA. In this presentation, we will report the preliminary results. |
