Fabrication of heterogeneous cathode with hydrous ruthenium oxide for direct methanol fuel cell and its characterization |
초록 |
Fuel Cell is energy conversion device from chemical energy to electrical energy directly without any mechanical conversion processes. As a kind of Fuel Cell, Direct Methanol Fuel Cell has stability of fuel storage, high molecular energy density and low operation temperature. But it is a problem that a large amount of noble metal catalyst is required to overcome extremely poor performance. In this study, hydrous ruthenium oxide is added to the cathode of Direct Methanol Fuel Cell to improve the performance by reducing the poisoning of cathode catalyst and mixed-potential effect. And improved cathode is analyzed by the electrochemical measurements, Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy, Scanning Electron Microscopy and Energy Dispersive Spectrometry. |
