제목 | Complete oxidation of VOCS over Pt-Pd catalysts |
초록 | The catalytic combustion of volatile organic compounds(VOCs) is becoming of increasing importance in pollution emission control. Both supported noble metals and transition metal oxides have been used as catalysts for these reactions Noble metal catalysts are known as most active catalysts for oxidation reactions and are preferentially used in commercial practice in spite of their cost. However, catalytic stability is very important for practical applications. the duration of the catalytic activity is not enough, because supported pd and Pt particles easily sinter at relatively low temperature. we have examined the effects of additives on Pd/Al2O3 catalyst in order to prevent the catalyst deactivation due to the sintering and increase activity. The catalysts were prepared by the excess wetness impregnation method and characterized by XRD, TEM, and XPS analysis. |
