In this study, it was to develop an industrial type CDI module and to evaluate the performance of the module for brackish water desalination. Electrodialysis (ED) was an interesting technique developed for recovering and purifying salts and acids from fermentation broths. But ED process uses the chemicals; HCl, etc. Hence, in this system was using chemical free process. Because bipolar membrane (BPM) was used in the ED process. BPM has function at a constant voltage to split water into hydrogen ions and hydroxyl ions. And then this process was in need of hydrogen ion for recovery lithium ion from Lithium manganese oxide (LMO). So in this study was observed the effect of the voltage on the hydrogen ion concentration. |
