A partially sulfonated cation exchange membranes were prepared by blending using the sulfonated Poly(ether ether ketone)(SPEEK) and sulfonated Poly(vinylidene fluoride-co-hexafluoropropylene)(SPVDF-co-HFP) by casting method. The sulfonation of PEEK and PVDF-co-HFP were carried out using sulfuric acid and chlorosulfonic acid as sulfonating agent, respectively. The structure of membranes was confirmed by FT-IR and 1H-NMR spectrometers. The degree of sulfonation(DS) of the SPEEK and S(PVDF-co-HFP) were obtained from 1H NMR spectrum. The water content, ion exchange capacity (IEC), electrical resistance and ion conductivity, were measured. |
